Your question lacks some information that makes it impossible to give a complete answer. If you were attempting ito downward modify a current court order, you can only do so prospectively. Trying to make a support order retroactive for past due support will not work unless you have proof of making the arrearage payments. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
