Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have filed for a divorce through a mediator in California. When I met with her I gave her the specifics (what I was asking for in the divorce) I was under the impression that this got filed as an attachment with the papers to the court. I was also under the impression that when my husband was served that he also got the specifics as an attachement. Neither did. I have read that he has 30 days to respond and if he doesnt I get a defaul judgement for divorce and what I was asking for. How can that be if the court nor my husband got this information. I called my mediator today, who was very rude, and she told me that I couldnt even file a request until the 30 days had passed. I am so confused.

Since the person that you're working with is the individual that can clarify what's going on, you should schedule an appointment to meet with her and go over the process and what happens next.
