Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have filed for divorce, but when I sent out the petition my EX never signed or acknowledged it. Now, that I am almost filing for default judgement, he signed the paper and sent them back. Does this change the divorce process now? And can I file for a Summary Dissolution, if he is willing to sign again? I am so lost. Need help.

Go to your local family law facilitators office and seek their help. Otherwise, hire an attorney.

A Summary Dissolution is the only petition that is signed by both spouses. To see if you qualify for summary dissolution, check this page: http://courts.ca.gov/selfhelp-summarydissolution.htm
