Legal Question in Family Law in California
I filed for a legal seperation, once i file for the judgement will that give me ownership of the home if he does not contest it. Or do i have to file something else to ensure that the home is mine, and can i change my will once this is done to ensure that my home goes to my son in the event i die while seperated.

In a legal separation process you would still need to do a marital separation agreement to divide the assets. If he does not contest, you can get the MSA sign by a judge to become an order. After that you can change the title to your own name.

Consult with an attorney who is knowledgeable in family law. Your question shows that you need help, but a free forum such as this is not helpful with specific legal issues.
