Legal Question in Family Law in California

I filed to receive child support from my son's father almost over two years ago. He has avoided being served, and despite my giving information about his whereabouts months ago, I have still not heard about any action taken. I feel that I could find him myself, but do not want to get involved with him in any way. Is there anything more I can do than to just wait?

Mr. Roach is correct. It seems you are relying on the sheriff to do the process serving. They are useless unless you know exactly where and when to serve a person. Professional registered process servers are the way to go.
