Legal Question in Family Law in California

my soon to be ex filed a response to my divorce petition. I have two questions, one our hearing is in two days and I have not been served yet. What happens if I am not served before our hearing? Also do I get to respond to his response- and what form do I use in california?

You don't respond to his response, at least not in family law proceedings. It is not clear what your hearing is, but it will most likely go forward if based on an earlier scheduling. You do need to make sure that you get a copy of his response, and if necessary, point out to the court that you did not receive his response.
