Legal Question in Family Law in California
filing for custody of unborn child
I am 8 and 1/2 months pregnant with my second child, since our breakup 6 months ago thier father has declared on several occasions that this is not his child. He has shown no interest or support throughout this pregnancy, he has told me that he wants custody just to keep from paying child support.I would like to file for custody as soon as possible, is it possible to file for custody of an unborn child when abortion or harm is not an issue?

as the mother to be, you are well within your rights to file for custody, support, etc...even prior to your baby being born. in fact, its a better idea to do so in order to get the court process moving during the gestation period. if you would like a free phone consultation regarding your case, email us with your contact information today.
