Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am filing a divorce and I have beeen 13 years a wife did not work. I left home with my kids and my husband refused topay anything for me or the kids. So I went through welffare through the Ca goverment. Will this affect my case concering child support and custody?

Yes, in good and bad ways. The government can help you get child support Contact the Child Support Services office in your county. The bad news is they will collect from your husbeand for the welfare, and you get what's left over. It's a little more complicated than that, but basically that's how it works.
