filing a divorce

I was divorced in 1974 I recently needed a copy of the court order that should have been filed and I believed was filed but the county recorders office had no record of the divorce

am I legally divorced?

the county was San Luis Obispo

You should go to the court records and do a search for your records to find the judgment of divorce paper.
