Legal Question in Family Law in California

Filing For Legal Separation

Can it be done without a lawyer? If we are living in the same house currently, what do we do? I am not currently working, so I am not providing any income at this time. We have 4 children (17, 14, 9, 3). We really need to separate in--name removed--opinion. There are issues that no amount of marital or personal counseling will resolve. Please advise. Thank you.

It can be done without an attorney, but you are risking a lot. With four children and a lengthy marriage you need advice from an experienced family law attorney so that at least you will know what your rights are. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
