Legal Question in Family Law in California

Who can fill out a restraining for me?

I am inquiring about a restraining order and need to know if anyone can fill it out for me, or am I the only one that can do it?

If you are 12 years old or older, you can apply for a domestic violence restraining order without the assistance of a parent or guardian. You can fill it out on your own, or seek help from an attorney. Many areas also have clinics that help people with restraining orders for free. If you need domestic violence-related services or information, call The National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1-800-799-SAFE for resources in your area.

Every courthouse has a clinic which will fill out your papers for free. If your courthouse does not have such a clinic find out where the nearest courthouse is which does have the clinic.
