Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am filling out the California divorce forms online and have a question about form FL-180.

What does 'Status Only' mean? I checked the Dissolution box but don't know if I need to check status only.

It depends on what you are asking the court to do. If you have a marital settlement agreement that deals with all the issues in the case, property, kids, support, everything, and you are ready for a final judgment, then do not check that box. If you want the marriage to end, and the court to retain jurisdiction over the property, kids, and support issues because they still need to be worked out, then you check "status only." It means you are ending the status of being married, but not getting a final judgment on all the issues in the divorce.
