Legal Question in Family Law in California

Forfieture of property, legal liabilities to ex-spouse

I am going through a divorce, and my husband signed a Grant Deed releasing interest in the property, due to the fact that I refinanced and paid several joint bills. 1-Is he entitled to a copy of the Final HUD or loan papers? The refi is SOLELY in my name. 2-Since he released all interest in the property, is he entitled to any cash-out that I received after all bills were paid?

By law he is entitled to one half of the community property. Depending upon the facts he may not be entitled to some portion of the money you took out of the equity loan. You should contact an attorney about this matter as you are propbablly talking about a sizable amount of money.
