Legal Question in Family Law in California

What forms do I need to file for a time extension for a Notice of Lien from Child Support? I would like to try and have me arrears negotiated as well do I need to file the paperwork on that seperately and then inform the judge of this, if I get an extension granted?

There is no such form. It also makes no sense to get an extension of a "Notice of Lien." You don't get an extension from a notice. You must mean some other proceeding related to it, but you don't say what it is. If you want a determination of arrearages and to try to negotiate a settlement of the outstanding balance, you have to file a separate proceeding.

It is possible that I could give you a more complete answer and/or refer you to local resources if I knew where you are located. However, LawGuru for some unknown reason decided to stop asking questioners for their zip code. That makes it impossible for us attorneys answering questions to provide a location specific answer. In many cases what county or even city you are in is crucial to the help we can provide, especially if you are asking a Family Law, Real Estate, or Landlord/Tenant question. If you appreciate my providing you this free answer, please take a moment to contact LawGuru Support and complain about this. Thanks.
