Legal Question in Family Law in California

foster parents

Can foster parents forcefully keep the child they adopted after they turn 18? If the child moves in with someone else by her own will after she turns 18, could they do something legally?

Re: foster parents

Once a child becomes 19 they are an adult and can come and go as they please. However you should sit down and think long and hard about why they don't want you to move in with this person. Discuss the issue with your priest, a school teacher or other person to get an unbiased opinion about the situation.
