Legal Question in Family Law in California
Frequent Flyer Miles
Am I required to split airline miles? I have one minor child with my ex, the child lives in a different state then I do. The stipulation states that my ex and I will share equally in the cost of transporting my child, which we do. The child travels twice a year for visitation with me.
However, I book every plane ticket and pay the airlines, my ex reimburses me later. I have set up a mileage account for my child so that she will earn miles for a free ticket.
Since I created the account, book the tickets, and pay the airlines am I required to share the benefits of those miles with my ex? Or can I legally use those miles as I see fit?
My ex has also set up an account for my child, that she keeps to herself, that account has never been used in conjunction with me or my visitation. My ex has never expressed a desire to book the tickets herself; she has always left that to me.

Re: Frequent Flyer Miles
Shhhh! You don't have a problem don't make one. You have an order that says split the travel cost, you don't have an order that says split the mileage points. So do what you will.
