my best friend is pregnant and the father of the baby is threatening to take the baby when shes born which is in a week im trying to help her find out so information on how to deal with this he does do drugs and was recently caught using herion but the unfortunate part is that he was never caught by the police and all though we know all the bad things hes done hes very good at keeping under the raidar shes concerned for herself and her child safety what should she do please help

If the baby's father is threatening to take legal action against the mother to obtain custody, your response is totally different than if he is saying, "I'm gonna come to the hospital and take my baby," for example.
