Legal Question in Family Law in California

A friend started her divorce 3 years ago when her daughter was still a minor. She never completed the process. Now that her daughter is 18, does she amend the first filing or have to start all over again.

No but it could've been dismissed. If it is still pending just finish filing the documents. It might be better to start over for community property reason.

She needs to find out if the case was dismissed. If it was dismissed, she will need to refile. If not, she should complete the case.
