Frozen assets?

If I file for divorce, will the assets of my spouse be frozen at the time of filing in order to make sure he doesnt spend or invest any of the money that I may be entitled to in spousal and/or child support?

would I need to make a motion for this request or is it done automatically when I file?

Read the back of the Summons for a domestic case. It has automatic restraining orders regarding the disposal of community property. It goes into effect when it is served.
