First of all, you are not fighting a battle over some piece of territory - winner takes all. You are entering this whole situation with the wrong frame of mind, and your child will pay for this. You need to move from "how can I get this other person out of our lives" to "how can I make sure my child has the benefit and gift of both parents who love him/her being involved and validating their worth?" Kids need both parents. Many of the problems in our society today, I believe, are from only allowing one parent meaningful participation in a child's life.
