Legal Question in Family Law in California
I currently have full physical custody of mine and my ex boyfriends 7 year old son. We have joint legal. As of know he gets visitation from Sunday at 8am to Tuesday 8 am when he drops him off to school. We recently both started new jobs. He work 12 hour rotating shifts, some of which are over nights. He explained his schedule as 4 days on, 3 days off and vise versa. I work Monday through Friday 8-4. He also lives 25 minutes away in a different town. Our son participate in extracurricular activities 4 days a week after school. He is threatening me to to take me to court to modify to arrangement to 50/50. I can't understand how with such and erratic schedule and not guaranteed to get my son to his sporting events how he feels he is capable of having his more. My question is if I have something to worry about.

Keep in mind that parenting plans will continue to evolve as the needs of the child changes or parenting schedules change. Your best option would be to participate in coparenting counseling in advance of going to court to see if you can resolve your differences.
