Legal Question in Family Law in California

Gaurdianship

Approx. 4 yrs ago my boyfriend to our daughter (3 months old at that time) and fled the state. I could never find him until recently I received some papers asking for child support on our daughter. I called the child support dept and asked them how he could ask or support when he fled the state. come to find out he had been incarcerated and it was his brother who was asking for support because my ex signed over gaurdianship. How can he do this without notifing me, also he is not even listed on birth certificate. Isn't this an illegal guardianship, and what rights do I have to get her back. They were able to send support papers, why didn't I get any gaurdianship papers.

Re: Gaurdianship

You should consult with an attorney in the area where the guardianship was obtained and then have it set aside.
