Legal Question in Family Law in California

well i gave her father sole custody when i went to jail back in 2001 as i was arrested and wasnt on my feet but since all that i have got my life on track and have adopted 3 kids with social services and my 17 yr old daughter no longer wishes to reside with her father what could i do does she have to back to his home???
