Legal Question in Family Law in California

Gay marriage

In California if a gay couple gets married now, if on Nov 4 Prop 8 passes and the state constitution bans gay marriage, what will happen to all the gays that are currently married?

Re: Gay marriage

Most likely the marriages will be invalidated. However they may be converted into domestic partnerships if the couples choose to do so.

Really though, nobody knows. These are just guesses.

Please contact a qualified attorney before you take any action.

Good luck,
