Legal Question in Family Law in California
My ex gf is due any day now and she just got served custody papers because she doesn’t want to work with me and wants full custody. My attorney takes too long to give me answers so I thought I’d ask here. Since it could take a couple of months for a judge to hear my case does that mean I won’t be able to see my baby until the judge has some sort of ruling ? She’s upset about being served and says she won’t let me see the baby now.

It is against the State Bar rules for us lawyers to discuss a case with a party already represented by another attorney, unless it is in the context of the client looking to change lawyers. Since I don't practice in your county, that would not apply to me or most if not all the attorneys who answer these questions. Sorry for your tough situation.
