Legal Question in Family Law in California

if a girl is claiming to have just given birth to a child she is claiming to be mine, in order for her to ask for child support, doesn't she have to proove that its my child? especially in another state?

She would have to file a petition to establish paternity. In your response you can deny that you are the father. This would result in a DNA test to determine whether or not you are the father.
