my girl friend is going through custody battle, when I was 18 I was convicted of a 261.c with my high school sweetheart, can a judge bring me in to my new girlfriends case and put restriction (stay away orders) if this case has nothing to do with me they just ran my background and saw I had that conviction

There is no penal code section 261.c Section 261(c) is a definition of the word "menance" as used elsewhere in the section. Without knowing the actual nature of your conviction, it is not possible even to guess how the court would view it.
