Legal Question in Family Law in California

If I get a girl pregnant and she gave birth and she decides to keep it, I have to pay child support right? But does it mean me and her have to get together? or can I date another girl? And do I have to live in the same state as her and the baby or can I live in another state? And if me and her can't support the child, can a judge rule that we have to give her for adoption? Answers to these questions can really help. Thanks!

Both parents have a legal obligation to financially support their children. You have no obligation to continue a romantic relationship with the biological mother, however you are now on a lifetime journey of working together as parents of your child. The best way o protect you and your child's legal rights would be to file a paternity petition with the court and a motion to establish custody and visitation.
