Legal Question in Family Law in California

my girlfriends ex-husband is currently slandering my name with a wide aray of groundless accusations, normally understandable right? well he is doing this to get even with her for the divorce and is trying to take her kids in court, is there anything i can do in regards to his slander? as well what are rule's on admissable evidence in child custody cases?
