Legal Question in Family Law in California

Giving up legel rights to child.

I would like to know how my husband would go about giving up his rights to our child, or if it is possible at all. My lawyer had told me that the courts wouldn't allow him to do that I would just like a second opinion.

Only the court can terminate parental rights, and that will not be done until there is another father to take his place.
