Giving sister authoization to be caregiver

Is a notarized letter from my brother naming me as the caregiver for his son suffient to enroll in school and to make any and all discisions pertaining to childs welfare. My brother lives in Guatemala and his son 14yrs lives with me. Must we gpo before judge?

call the school and ask them. my guess is that you will probably have to get yourself appointed temporary guardian.
