Legal Question in Family Law in California

Good Morning;

Last year I filled a restraining order against my childs father because he was threatining me, As I applied for the restraining order the judge granted me also full leagal custody of my child. My restraining order is up next month but this weekend my childs dad called and spoke with my kid before I got home from work and told her a bunch of lies about me and bashed me as a parent and told her not to tell me because it will be their secret. Now my child doesnt want to answer the house phone because she doesnt want to speak to him, I will be going to court this week to extend the restraining order. My question is the following, he told my child that I was trying to get him on child support, which that was not my intentions, but after I confronted him about this he told me he doesnt care because he has alot of money but that refuses to pay for something he cant see, so I would like to know is there a way for me to file for child support, but not allow him to have visitation rights? Any advice in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly!

Child support and custody/visitation have nothing to do with each other, except custodial time is a component of the support calculation. You should have asked for support when you first got custody. There is no reason not to ask for it immediately.
