grandaughter told me that teacher told grandaughter that she was going to call CPS to report child abuse because of a small bruise she got from playing what should i do when the CPS and/or sheriffs come by

Contact the teacher first and calmly ask what she has done, plans to do, and why. Tell her how the bruise occurred. The teacher might have though that she had no choice and had to report it as child abuse. If she has complained to CPS, call them up and tell the case worker, or someone who has authority, what happened, and that you are happy to co-operate but it was not from any abuse. Make sure you know what your granddaughter will say.
