Legal Question in Family Law in California

Grandaughter's rights?

My Aunt and Uncle took my grandmother from an assisted care facility unbenounced to any other family members including her son and grandkids. After inquiring where she was transferred, the only information that the facility gave us was that my Aunt and Uncle transferred her. The family has called the Aunt and uncle and they will not divulge information. We have no idea where she is. What rights do we have? We just want to know her whereabouts. Should we call the police? Is the facility where she was staying prior required to NOT divulge information? Even to her son? Thanks for your help!

Re: Grandaughter's rights?

Contact the local elder abuse agency and report the situation. You could also consider filing a petition to be appointed as their conservator.
