Legal Question in Family Law in California

my grandchild

My daughter just turned 18 and lives with a male (not my grandsons father) that beats on her. My grandson has been living with me throughout the whole ordeal. I'm affraid that she will one day want him back and take him to an unsafe enviroment. What could i do?

Re: my grandchild

You can file a petition with the court to try and get custody awarded to you. It won't be easy but it is very possible if you can prove it would be in the best interest of the child.

Feel free to contact us if you are serious about pursuing this.

Re: my grandchild

Retain an attorney and file a petition for guardianship of the child. Also request an emergency order appointing you as the temporary guardian of the child. If you can prove the allegations in your question you should have a good chance of being successful.
