Legal Question in Family Law in California

about my granddaughter

can my son who is deployed right now.lose his daughter to his exwife .by court papers filed by my son before he left.that his daughter go,s to her just until he come back from deployed and she has to give back the child from court papers from the judge himself my son is very worry when he come home he won,t find his daughter she will hide her.but can x filed in another state knowing its been filed in california first.

the california order stands until it is changed. if the california court retained jurisdiction, mom cannot get a valid out of state order.
