Legal Question in Family Law in California

Grandparent visitation

My sons bio-mother commit suicide 2 years ago. The Bio-maternal grandmother is trying to get court ordered visitation rights. How can my husband and I prevent this from happening? My son is only 4 years old, we noticed a change in his behavior every time we would allow him to visit his maternal grandmother. Eating from the trash can, wetting the bed, and having bowel movements in his pants. Please tell me what her chances are of getting court ordered visitation and what we can do to prevent it!

Re: Grandparent visitation

Grandparents can be awarded court ordered visitation, subject to the best interest of the child. If the maternal grandmother's influence is as adverse as you say, you should retain an attorney to oppose the request.
