The preferred parenting arrangement supported by California law is for a biological parent to be the custodial parent. Many factors must have led to your current arrangement with the grandparents, therefore it's best to meet with a skilled family law attorney to explore your legal options.
There is a lot that would go into answering your question. Important issues include: how long the guardianship has been in effect and why the guardianship was originally made necessary. I would agree that if you are considering a termination of the guardianship, that you would be best served by having this done with an experienced family law specialist/attorney helping you. Good luck!
