Grandparents rights

I need assistance. My daughter (who is the grandmother) and I (great-grandmother) have a 16 month old granddaughter. My grandson (the father) and the mother are not together. As a result the mother used our granddaughter as a pawn to control the baby's father. We have been in our grandchild's life from the moment she was born. The mother is young, immature and not really a good mother. We do everything we can to assist whenever she feels the needs to let us have the baby.

We are tired of all this and want something legal that allows us proper visitation. What can we do?

Where is the child's father. He has the right to visitation and custody. If he is not available then you need to contact an attorney and review the facts of your case. It may be that you can file with the court for custody or visitation.
