Legal Question in Family Law in California

Grandparents Rights in CA

Our oldest son and my wife just recently had a flare

up and our son moved up to Northern Ca (a 6 to 8 hour

drive) with his girlfriend and our two grandchildren

(one boy, 6 & one girl, 1). They are denying us any

visitation of the children. The boy is from our son's

first marriage and the girl (it's her first birthday

tomorrow 02/12/06) is from his current girlfriend.

What rights do we as grandparents have to see these

children? I know you don't know any background on us

but my wife and I are upstanding people.

Thank You

Re: Grandparents Rights in CA

Grandparents may have a limited right to visitation of grandchildren. If the mother of either child agrees, then the Dad cannot do much to stop it as the mother shares equal rights with the dad.
