grandparents visitation

My girlfriend past away , now her mother is filing for visitation of our son , I try to let her see him , she wants 2 weekends a month , I dont actually like the woman , and dont want to deprive him of his grandmother , , what typically happens ?

Typically the rights of a legal parent trump those of grandparents. So, you would typically have the right to dictate what visitation you will allow and what type you will not. However, there are several exceptions to this rule, so you should talk about your particular situation to an attorney.
