Grandparents do have a right to visitation, but that right is trumped by the biological parents' right to custody. Thus, it is usually best to get at least one of the parents to agree to grandparent visitation. Then the grandparents can visit when the parent allows them to. If the parents are separated then the grandparent can visit during the time the parent allowing visitation has custody.

Grandparent visitation rights are very limited and exist only if there has been a substantial bond to the children, such as providing for their care for a long period. There are other limited exceptions and you should talk to an attorney who is familiar with Grandparent visitation rights. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
