Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was granted sole legal and physical custody of my children,ages 4 and 5 on December 10,2010. My ex husband has 4 hours of supervised visitation with his mother being the supervisor or a professional. I just learned that on one of his 4 hours visitation, they took the kids out without car seats and Im being told by his mother he is not active when he is with the children ,he puts a movie on or has them in a computer and he is on the other side of the house because he does not want to deal with them. Either myself or his mother contact him for his visitation schedule because he puts no effort to spend time with them. He wants no responsibility. Im also being harrased by his girlfriend and my daughter has tried to get a hold of him but she keeps geting hunged up on by his girlfriend who is also cursing. I got custody due to several factors. He tried to commit suicide with knives in front of myself and my daughter and he has been verbally and physically abusive with myself and the kids. He also stoppped taking medication for his depression. We are suppose to go bak in April for a review inregards to his progress. He is endangering my children, do I wait till then to let the judge know what is going on and is best for me to hire an attorney. The children are afraid of him but have no choice but go for their 4 hours with dad. What can I do ?

You should go in for an emergency modification. Don't wait until April. Use an attorney if possible, but don't let that delay you.
