Legal Question in Family Law in California

If there is a guardian ship dispute but no one has legal custody of the kids and if one calls the sheriffs on the other to take the kids what do you tell the sheriffs at the door? in state of CA

If there is a dispute and noone has legal custody over the children, then the sheriffs should not be picking a side. I would suggest instead that you, or someone, immediately file for a guardianship IF the 2 parents are NOT able to take care of the children. Good luck.
