what do you have to do to get guardianship of a child?

For guardianship, you would need to determine if the child has parents, if there is consent for the guardianship. If there is no consent, the chances of getting a guardianship are very difficult because the true parents would be fighting to prevent it. If the parents agree, then the process can mostly be done through agreements without the necessity of hearings.
