Guardianship

My dad and stepmom have temporary guardianship of two of my children. We are currently in court on the matter. They are trying to get permanent guardianship of my children. They are lying saying I am physically abusive, when in fact I have never been abusive. Will the judge take their lies into consideration or would they have to have some solid concrete proof.

They will have to provide proof of their allegations. However, their statements may be sufficient if the judge believes them. You should bring in your own witnesses that you have not abused you children. Also inquire as to whether they reported the abuse to the police or other official. Also was this abuse observed by school teachers or other wisnesses. You should either retain an attorney or request that the court appoint an attorney to represent you.
