i have guardianship of my half niece along with my partner. She is my niece through my half sister on my dads side. now my sisters cousin wants her , she wants to file against me , i haven't done anything wrong shes in school , she has her own bed , we cloth her feed her love and take her places and pay our rent and bills . we even trying to get her in choir at our church she only 4 and has been through so much we taught her abcs 123s and how make her bed , nursery rhymes and how write her name and her address. she improved so much and just full of life and she has already been moved around alot i dont care to move her again. her cousin is saying she wants her to be around her family and we never told them they couldnt get her on the weekend or holidays they dont even call now all of sudden they want her because she needs be around her family and a normal family they dont like the fact they we a gay couple and they make more money than us. this is really hard please help. the judge had told them at temp hearing if any one wanted file against us had to do by 5th of november n no one did

If no one files you have no problem, however, there is always the possibility of a filing or an adoption. The court is required by law to act in the best interest of the child. If you grant visitation, provide for the child's welfare and she is happy you probably are safe. If the other relative wants to adopt you will have to decide whether to adopt yourselves.
