Legal Question in Family Law in California

Harassment by ex-wife via email & telephon

My friend has been divorced from his ex-wife for 6 months, separarted for 2 years total. In the divorce agreement she signed off that she only wanted pots & pans from their home. He has delivered that, & in a good will effort he has also deliverd about half of her furniture.

Since that interaction she has been sending emails, text messages on a mobile phone & leaving voicemails. Up to 5 a day for 3 weeks. The emails are abusive. She is calling him names, threatening legal action & accusing him of causing her cancer. All my friend would like is for these communications to stop & for him to never have to deal with her again. All other pieces of their divorce have been resolved.

Does he have any legal ground for harassment? He has saved all the emails & has not engaged in her name calling, etc.

Thank you.

He needs to discuss this matter with an attorney, and review the options available to him. He could file a petition for a restraining order.
