Legal Question in Family Law in California
the hearing about Spousal Support has been cancelled
because both of Plantiff and respondent didn't appear on the court, the hearing was cancelled. What's the difference between this and ''dismissed''? The plantiff has right to initial the hearing anytime again?
thanks

The general rule is that the court takes the motion off calendar if neither party appears. A new motion would appear to be the appropriate course of action.
