Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi,

Both parents are in USA on H1B visa residing in California for last 5 years, child born is US. Marriage occurred in India.

1. Can divorce be filed in USA or needs to happen in India

2. Where can the child custody case be filed?

If both parents have resided in CA for at least six months, and for at least four months in one county, the divorce can proceed in that county. Child custody is part of a divorce case, not a separate case.
